I scan my film images to a digital file. Once there it is handled much the same as an image captured digitally. Adobe Photoshop and/or Corel help me take the image and present it as I envisioned. Many techniques used in the traditional wet chemistry darkroom can be employed in the digital darkroom, as well as new techniques. I shoot in both black and white and color. Some color images are converted in the digital darkroom to black and white. Some images work in both forms –each delivering a different view and feeling of the moment- and so both are offered. I print my images using a state-of-the-art Canon IPF5000 printer with 12-color Lucia ink on Museo Silver Rag or Innova F-Type paper for a semi-gloss finish like traditional photo paper. I will use Moab Entrada with certain images for a matte finish. The ink and the paper are archival quality. All are offered as signed, open edition prints.
